Courtesy of Marvel Comics, CBR presents an exclusive first look at the interior art for "Amazing Spider-Man" #654.1 featuring the debut of the all-new Venom! Featuring a story by regular ASM writer Dan Slott and art by Humberto Ramos, "Amazing Spider-Man" #654.1 fits firmly into the March storyline of the long-running title.
When discussing the Point One issues during last month's press call about the new publishing initiative, Marvel Vice-President Executive Editor Tom Brevoort emphasized the issue's importance to the overall Spider-Man story and its role in the introduction of the new Venom. "I think that's the biggest key and the biggest hook," he said. "You will get to see who he is, what he's about, how he's different from the previous symbiote-wearing Venoms, how he's the same as the previous symbiote-wearing Venoms... this is the introduction of a major new character to Spider-Man."
Below are some sketches of Venom. I got to say, I like this new direction and new look. I don't know about the 'Venom-plane' sketch though...
